Our God reigns!
BIll James said some challenging things in his sermon a couple of weeks ago:
If you truly understood the sovereignty of God you would never worry.
If you truly understood the love of God you would never be lonely.
We need to remember the sovereignty of Christ – not because we have nothing to fear, but because our [...]

Hebrews 8:
The point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by man. Every high priest is appointed to offer both [...]

Saturday Sabbath

In posting this, I am not saying I agree with the writer’s views…I just came across it and thought it was of interest. What are your thoughts?
All following text taken from http://www.sabbath-day.net/
If the Sabbath is an unchanged Commandment, then we [...]

Glorify God by enjoying him
I have just started reading Desiring God by John Piper in which he declares himself a ‘Christian Hedonist’, making some of the more conservative of us reel back in horror. Hedonist? Christian? Noo. Surely those two never go together.
To be honest, if I didn’t know John Piper to be pretty sound and I came across [...]
