I have seen all the works that are done under the sun, and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind – Ecclesiastes 1:14

As Christians, especially those of us living in a Western culture, the majority of our  battles take place in our minds. Our culture feeds us a multitude of lies, twists good and evil on its head and condemns those who think differently. It is our ‘developed’, materialistic culture that has resulted in a mass of [...]

Half the world lives on $2 or less a day.
At least 80% of the world lives on less than $10 a day.
The remaining 20% (that’s us) earn a VAST amount more – we earn more in a week than most people in the world will earn in a year.
The poorest 40 percent of the world’s [...]

I don’t have a laptop. Hence no posts for a while :(
I am saddened by the fact my MAC gave up on me. It’s a mac, it’s not meant to do this!!
And instead of taking it to Apple I took it to some random guy in Leam who doesn’t seem to know what he’s [...]

Hebrews 8:
The point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by man. Every high priest is appointed to offer both [...]

It’s easy to get so stressed out by revision and exams that you lose focus and start to panic. That’s certainly happened to me in the past. The most helpful thing is to turn to God for support; he has a much bigger plan for us.
Hebrews 3
Continuing in the theme of chapters 1 and 2, [...]

Jesus commanded: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. – Luke 10:27
Are we truly people of love?
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is [...]

Hebrews 2

05May08

“We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.” – v1
We can’t just hear the gospel and then get on with our lives. It is important to study the Bible, to pay attention, to dig deeper, to go to church… if we’re left to ourselves [...]
